Containers are required to meet strict certification standards. These quality standards are tested by independent classification societies. Introducing a newly developed container to the market is possible only if the container is certified. The Cargoshell container will be put forward for certification by the classification society Germanische Lloyd. For the certification process a task force has been set up, comprising specialists in the areas of composites and shipping containers and an external engineering consultancy. The task force expects the container to be certified no later than September 2011.
